Feltmaking has been around for centuries.  It is the process that compresses wool fibre into a cloth structure.  When wool is wet and manipulated, the microscopic scales along the length of the wool will open up, clinging to any open weaved fabric, interlocking, restructuring, and pulling together.  Great care has to be made while felting as to the temperature of the water, how much soap to use, and how long to roll the felt.  It is a lengthly process but fun and exciting to watch as the creation develops.

Scarves, Shawls, Bags, Cozies and many other pieces are available from Bagzthat.  Each piece is hand made with great care and attention to detail.  Wool and Silk are the two main ingredients that go into the structure of a Bagzthat garment and you can be assured that only the finest fibres are used.  Synthetics may sometimes be used as an adornment to give a piece added flair and substance.

Bagzthat is a fibre arts company with a twist of funkiness and a very big attitude!  If you don’t have a Bagzthat piece yet we hope that you will soon.  When you purchase a Bagzthat piece you will also receive a nifty care bag complete with a Bagzthat logo.
